On September 15, 2005 - 11 NAFA volunteers and the Clay County Sheriff's Department rescued 33 dogs, 7 exotic birds and 8 doves from a puppy mill in Clay County. We celebrate their liberation, loving homes and the incredible individuals who stepped forward to take these animals into their homes. We herald this as one of NAFA's victories against the puppy mills and the "prisoners of greed" that live in horrendous conditions so their "wardens" can make a living.Thank you to Twinkie's family for giving her such a cherished life.
